Bigfoot(?) Is On The Loose In The Ninth Helluva Short

As someone who is going to Hell for wearing socks in sandals [1], I am at least delighted to witness the ninth minisode of Helluva Shorts titled “Mission: Bigfoot” [91] [132]. It was teased after on the day after the big reveal of Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves on this year’s Pokémon day [13] [133] [142]. Although I adore the creativity and effort put into Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss merchandise with a few of the new Year of the Horse items from SharkRobot being some of the latest examples [16] [67], despite the missed opportunity to feature Striker and his horse known as “Bombproof” [22] [92] [131], I firmly stand alongside plenty of fellow sinners by a certain issue raised a month ago. Just because VoxTek products and merchandise from Loo Loo Land may be ridiculously overpriced to animated demons [80], does not mean that fans should feel ripped off in real life [15]. On a lighter note, some loyal fans are still willing to keep the trading card train running as pink foils and 2nd Edition Booster packs for Hazbin Hotel – Season Two trading cards were revealed alongside the official poster for “Mission: Bigfoot” [50] [51] [93], as well as the confirmation of the filming for Sonic the Hedgehog 4 in progress [43]. Shortly after Pac-players have discovered a pint-sized way to play Pac-Man [101], let us find out why Vivienne Medrano, the creator of the main series, Helluva Boss, considers “Mission: Bigfoot” her favourite Helluva Short [13] [78] [79] [91]. 

There are some things we regret doing or experiencing about a decade ago, less or more [41] [138] [139], but at least we can strive to keep achieving in the second half of the 2020s [46]. Beyond the traumatic times of being one of the original victims of cancel culture at a young age and being labelled as “talentless” shortly afterwards [107] [143] [144], I am always up for some chaotic action with Blitzo, Moxxie, Millie and Loona. I may miss playing those South Korean dress-up games developed by Roiworld as a preteen [61] [70] [97] [114], but I can still count on the Hellaverse to stay proactive as an adult [91] [159] [160]. Besides, I do not regret writing a poem about the I.M.P. slaughtering Raymond Alfonso [163]. [58]

I personally do not want Valentino, who does not deserve to be redeemed in the third season of Hazbin Hotel [77], to float around menacingly in my bathtub as a rubber ducky…unless Vaggi can stand guard on the edge of the tub or float guard in the water as another rubber ducky [149] [150] [151]. As for the sideshow of a sister series, I shall explain my thoughts on the ninth minisode titled “Mission: Bigfoot” after tittering throughout the sixth volume of Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Deserted Island Diary [120]. [57]

 
I may have considered the Blitzster’s temporary position as a new kind of helluva boss in the previous short Marmite-flavoured [4] [29] [30] [31] [52] [159] [160], but I was sure that his leadership would still be intact on a mission to track down Bigfoot in this one before it premiered on YouTube [91]. And yes, it is! Thank Satan for that [82]! His disguise at the start of the minisode is sure to get Xzibit to say, “Yo, Dawg! I heard you like glasses, so you put shades on top of your glasses!” [66] [91]. His speculation regarding the existence of Sasquatches leads to a rather baffling moment that will be explained later, but I am still thankful that he is once again sticking to what he has been established to do in the Hellaverse in the first place [91]. And of course, he still makes jabs at Moxxie, as evident by how he tells him not to try to sound like a hip-hop artist bragging on stage again. As much as I suspect that Deadpool could star in his own thrilling, beautifully coloured manhwa series set in Seoul, South Korea that could co-star Tiger Division in the future [59] [75] [76] [137], especially after being both amused and baffled at the conclusion of Deadpool: Samurai [108], I can see his brother from another mother keeping at least some of that character development he gained in the last third of the second season in check in the third and fourth seasons of Helluva Boss [82] [83].

I suspect that the Blitzster will eventually embrace the meaning of being part of an Ohana, meaning that no demon in his pack will get left behind in some episodes of the main Helluva Boss series, much like how Stitch gradually understands the meaning of “Ohana” in Lilo & Stitch [35] [73]. As always, Brandon Rogers does an amazing job in the role of the leading imp [91]. Just remember, as much as we can admire the effort the voice actors put into bringing these quirky characters to life [6] [23], please be respectful when you encounter them at the conventions you attend and do not ask them questions that consist of a spoiler or could make them feel uncomfortable if they are being featured on panels [14]. [91]

In contrast to Moxxie and Millie’s temporary redundancy in “Mission: Big Boss” [52] [159] [160], it looks like they are still doing their jobs in “Mission: Bigfoot” [91]. As previously shown in a preview on social media [130], the short starts with Millie in the classic disguise: a fake mustache and a concealing newspaper, as well as a long trench coat, as she secretly stands on Moxxie’s shoulders to appear taller right after the reveal of the mysterious target on the file at the office [91]. After a certain man’s explanation, Moxxie remains the straight man of the trio, believing that he is the best lead when it comes to tracking down Bigfoot. As for Millie, she still aims and shoots (for a reason that will be explained later) to carry on debunking the harsh accusations of Helluva Boss being blatantly misogynistic due to Stella’s villainous nature, a certain misuse of Loona’s character and how obsessive and delusional Emberlynn Pinkle is [84] [87]. We are yet to see how Moxxie, my second favourite Helluva Bosscharacter will react to his wife’s pregnancy in the main series [83], but for now, I am delighted to see that the team spirit has not been soured by Blitzo’s self-centred nature again [52] [159] [160], even if it has led to them being rather susceptible under the influence of a cunning “mayor” [91]. And indeed, I am relieved that Mr. and Mrs. Knolastname have not been temporarily shoved aside, which keeps the hellish spirit of three imps slaying sinful humans alive [167].

Remember this image from Moxxie’s non-canon Sinstagram account [64]? As much as I believe that Stitch from the Lilo & Stitchfranchise could try some iconic Korean cuisine, such as kimchi, mandu, bibimbap and kimbap in his own aeni or manhwa series set in another alternate timeline [32] [44] [60] [126], in comparison to the anime known as “Stitch!” and its manga adaptation being called out for being a partially unfaithful but ultimately non-canon follow-up to a satisfying finale [8] [164], I believe that Moxxie will be a great father once a certain baby is born at some point in the third or fourth season of the main Helluva Boss series [83]. And yes, Fizzarolli would be a great father too [1], especially if he teaches his child sign language [81]. [64]

As always, an empowered female character like Millie does not need to show her cleavage or wear a lot of makeup to be worthy of a target audience [63]. The rise of misogyny in the 2020s is disturbingly ridiculous [36], but we can value the strengths and talents of the girls and women we know as we continue to strive for gender equality [42] [98] [100] [103] [117], including trans rights [111]. [91]

What can I say about the titular character based on a folklore legend? Quite a big, hairy, notably devious fella [91], isn’t he? I had hoped that the interpretation of Bigfoot would be more impactful than the slur-spewing penguins in “Mission: Antarctica” [86]. He is! It looks like the imps are not the only ones to fool others with disguises, as they (ironically) fall for Bigfoot’s disguise as a generic but sophisticated and well-mannered mayor, but what is even more ridiculously hilarious is how they believe an undisguised Bigfoot is just the mayor being a nudist in the woods, which motivates him to continue the persona anyway [91]. Well, I do not blame them as they were born and raised in Hell. But still, I was like, “Oh my Lucifer, Blitzo!” right after Blitzo find out the truth about another “Sasquatch”, but ultimately STILL believed that Bigfoot is a mayor after some suspenseful build up due to his disbelief in Sasquatches. Plenty of simmers may recall the incarnation of Bigfoot in The Sims 2: Bon Voyage [40] [145], but aside from eventually becoming even more antagonistic, there is something else about this Bigfoot aside from his disguise that makes him quite unique [91], which will be explained in a jiffy. And yes, I wholeheartedly praise him for being the heart of the ninth minisode’s individuality and being oddly memorable as a new part of the big pack of antagonists in the Hellaverse. Kudos to Tom Kenny for voicing the "mayor” outstandingly!

I am strangely intrigued by this interpretation of Bigfoot (who is actually not referred to as “Bigfoot” in the short [91], but I am going to call him “Bigfoot” if that is okay with you. That sounds familiar, doesn’t it, Sonic supporters [123]?). Perhaps he can be a part of a DLC pack for a Helluva Boss fighting game inspired by Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a playable character [91] [104]. [90]

Let us not forget about the other Sasquatch, who is actually a human being in a costume…and meets an even worse fate than the guy in a mobile phone suit from the second half of the tenth episode of Foster’s Home For Imaginary Friends who got mistreated by Bloo [24] [55] [91]. It turns out that the poor dude’s misfortune is due to Bigfoot tricking the I.M.P. into shooting him to death solely because of an overdue favour. But still, that is about as petty as Emberlynn Pinkle getting assassinated solely for an incestuous shipping between two characters in the third minisode and Franl Wrigglers getting killed off for little to no reason in the fifth one [87] [161] [162]. It is a pity because of how impressive his performance with a sign is for the sake of advertising [91]. It is also a bummer that the fact that he wore a prosthetic leg under that suit shows a missed opportunity to add a little representation of those with prosthetic limbs to the Hellaverse, whether the character showing said representation is a human, a sinner or a winner [91] [116], but one can hope that said opportunity will be hit in a new season or spin-off. But still, at least the notable Barbie dolls with a prosthetic leg did the job splendidly [28] [38]. Perhaps the dude can be a competent mascot for advertising a certain business, expressing all that swag in the Pride Ring if he ends up in Hell (possibly for wearing socks in sandals before the events of “Mission: Bigfoot” [1]) after he dies [91]. Oh! And kudos to the talented Ben Diskin for voicing him excellently.

The thought of the secretary in the previous short working at VoxTek In Hell is quite unnerving to a certain extent [6] [52] [96] [134] [135] [136], but I just hope the man who met a tragic fate before the big reveal of Bigfoot’s secret can have a pretty good afterlife with a new prosthetic that could be gold if he goes to Heaven and possibly hangs out with Sir Pentious [91] [116]. Well, at least that could happen in a future fanfiction. Hopefully, the target in the next mission can be truly tyrannical, such as a direct parody of those anti-woke grifters, someone who has been blatantly ableist against autistic people on social media or someone like Raymond Alfonso [163], so that justice can truly be served. [91]

 Now, what can I say about the other human characters, compared to the secretary being used for some…personal gratification in the previous short [52] [91] [159] [160]? Well, the man named “Adrian” who has a long whitebeard sure was bringing on some tension when explaining the likes of Bigfoot through doodles he carved into the wall, despite how kooky he may seem, even without the disguised Bigfoot framing him as a cynical lunatic. I have a feeling that the guy could be a good acquaintance or rival for Striker if he goes to Hell after he dies [84] [92]. His role as the one who motivates the trio to assassinate Bigfoot adds to how varied the human characters in Helluva Shorts are in terms of their traits and motives [87] [88] [89] [90] [91] [161] [162]. I have a feeling that his mentioned brother might be the unseen client who wants revenge on the Sasquatch who killed him [91]. Could he make an appearance in the next short or an episode of the third season, as unlikely as that sounds? As for the waiter who serves at the diner and speaks in a monotone voice that reminds me of Sig from the Puyo Puyo franchise [122] [124], it turns out that the big street is that he is in a romantic relationship with Bigfoot [12]. And yes, it is a sexual one as well, considering how raunchy the Hellaverse is [91]. I can be happy for the forbidden lovers, I guess. As previously mentioned, the next target ought to be very problematic, so that their deadly fate can be satisfying and not so mean-spirited [161] [162].

I am sorry for this guy’s losses, but ummmmm…has he been kicked out of the diner for vandalism during the imp’s hunt [91]? [91]

What if you can woohoo with Bigfoot in The Sims 2: Bon Voyage [40] [145]? Well, this minisode has got you covered, mid and late 2000s teens! [91]

As always, I admire the Helluva Shorts for how varied they are, even though I consider some less favourable than others [159] [160], and it is, unfortunately, rather baffling how most of them are zany missions and the first one is centred on expanding the perspective of a beloved side character outside of I.M.P.. I still consider “Hell’s Belles” one of my favourite shorts for being about as wholesome, quirky and a little chaotic as Deadpool playing Hide and Seek with the Powerpuff Girls [25] [109] [156]. Believe it or not, I had a dream about such a scenario some days ago. As for “Mission: Bigfoot”, not only am I pleased with its individuality, but I also consider it well-paced and rather competent in terms of irony and dramatic irony, despite how baffling the dramatic irony can be to some sinners [91]. If Helluva Shorts ought to be renewed for a second season, as unlikely as that sounds due to popular demand for the continuation of the main Helluva Boss series, along with the third season of Hazbin Hotel, perhaps it can begin with I.M.P. on a mission set in an abandoned amusement park consisting of plenty of creepiness [147] [148]. As always, there is nothing wrong with preferring the old Voxtagram stories from 2020 over Helluva Shorts [17] [18] [19] [20] [33] [99], yet it is vital that the last of them can serve as a memorable sideshow finale in some way. As a writer, I hope that writing some of the Helluva Shorts, including “Mission: Bigfoot”, has left a good impact on Lyle Rath [91] [161] [162].

And yes, Bigfoot’s forbidden love with a human is comparable to Donkey Kong hooking up with Princess Polygon in the sixth episode of Taco-Man: The Game Master [91] [121]. [91]

Once again, let us take a moment to appreciate the artistic efforts from SpindleHorse that keep sloshing all over the sideshow [91]. Surely, the palette of the forest in Whistler’s Creek may be quite bland, resulting in some unwanted vibes from the first Twilight film [132] [152], but it still helps the scarlet-skinned imps stand out like three rubies with some onyx, diamond and topaz facets on a sheet of pine green silk [91]. The diner may look quite generic, but aside from the backgrounds not being the most imaginative ones, the characters’ movements are once again cartoonishly lively, especially the “mayor” who serves as a competent, cartoony incarnation of Bigfoot. Specific effects are also spot on, from the waterfall at Whistler’s Creek to the flashy gunshot effects to the aura of the Asmodeon Crystal being activated. One of my favourite aspects of “Mission: Bigfoot” is that the credits feature a montage of romantic moments wedged near one bottom corner at a time, which makes me hope that a similar case will apply to the third season of the main Helluva Boss series as an alternative to a bonus scene in “Mission: Whacked Off” [90] [91]. And of course, I shall look forward to more classy, historical vibes from the first episode of Lackadaisy, the imminent animated series based on Tracy J. Butler’s award-winning webcomics set in the 1920s, to show that I am more than just “Helluva Boss” this and “Helluva Shorts” that [68] [69].

As much as I believe that an official Sonic the Hedgehog manhwa can benefit the overall reputation of manhwa [75] [164], especially for Western readers [74], even if they do not consider themselves big fans of the blue blur, I just know that the animation quality will be top-notch in the last three Helluva Shorts [91]. And yes, the shorts’ logos are just as varied as their premises [52] [58] [161] [162]. [91]

 
Any hopes for the last three Helluva Shorts? Perhaps the last Helluva Short will be centred on some more exploration of Stolas’ character to serve as a rather memorable finale, thus saving the best ‘til last, despite most of the shorts being focused on the series’ original mission-based format [159] [160]. As for the tenth and eleventh, I would not be surprised if there are more missions, but I bet they can also consist of their own uniqueness, aside from how I hope that they can be as effective as “Mission: Chupacabras”, “Mission: Whacked Off”, “Mission: Bad Drivezo” and “Mission: Bigfoot” [88] [89] [90] [91]. As much as I believe that a new human companion for Stitch in his own aeni, manhwa or webtoon series can be a motherly figure to him possibly consisting of pink hair [164], much like UNI, Hatsune Miku’s Korean counterpart [153] [154], Sue, the avatar star whose cutesy Flash games I fondly remember playing when I was a preteen [10] [71] [113], and plenty of students from the High School Story days [112], I am up for another season of Helluva Shorts that can expand on the variety of different settings and scenarios or perhaps a series of minisodes of Hazbin Hotel that can answer some questions regarding opportunities that were missed throughout the run of the first and second seasons [5]. One of them might as well be about Angel Dust’s disgust towards chunks of pineapple on pizza [1] [119].

There may not be any musical numbers in Helluva Shorts, but at least sinners have been tuning into “Welcome To VoxTek”, a sinisterly funky fanmade song about joining VoxTek co-produced by Silva Hound that can be considered the canonised equivalent of “Vox’s Interlude” due to St4tic’s vocals nailing that villainous essence Christian Borle has when it comes to voicing Vox in Hazbin Hotel [6] [127] [128] [134] [135] [136]. It would be awesome to hear a reprise of “Hell’s Greatest Dad” featuring Moxxie butting in as spontaneously as Mimzy did in an official crossover with Helluva Boss, despite how partially out-of-character that might make him [115] [129]. [136]

You do not suppose another minisode of Hazbin Hotel could be about a mischievous imp sabotaging Velvette’s haircut or ruining one of her latest fashion designs [72], no? Well, if you ask me, it is more likely that Alastor or Valentino will sing a Season Two recap at some point this year [5]. Count me in! [5]

 
Any more hopes for the future of the Hellaverse aside from the last three Helluva Shorts? As a neurodivergent writer, I am up for a future character who is autistic, has ADHD or both [2] [3] [26] [27]. Perhaps there can be more to the hybrid demons in Hell besides Striker, who clearly has snake-like features, most notably his rattling tail [84] [92]. I am dying to see the Envy Ring, so I believe that an episode of Stolas taking Blitzo to a nice place in that ring can provide the opportunity for him to not only apologise for certain aspects of his behaviour throughout the affair [80] [167], but show more signs of becoming a better birdie [23] [161] [162]. As for Hazbin Hotel, I hope that there can be some stronger character development for Angel Dust that will lead him to ditching Valentino for good in the middle of the third season and return to the hotel and gain redemption at his own pace in the fourth one [11] [47]. As much as I believe that Sonic the Hedgehog run at the speed of light in his own aeni or manhwa series primarily aimed at South Korean Sonic supporters [164], I see several possibilities in the future of the Hellaverse, including a possible anime or manga adaptation of Hazbin Hotel or Helluva Boss [157] [158] [165] [166]. But for now, I shall hope for the best outcome of the last three minisodes of one helluva sideshow, along with the official trailer for the third season of the main Helluva Boss series, which could premiere this year’s LVL UP Expo in Las Vegas [94].

Perhaps Stolas can be the one to deliver Millie’s baby once she goes into labour at some point in the third or fourth season of the main Helluva Boss series [1] [83]. That would be some outstanding character development for my owl daddy. I have faith in him, despite his faults and the absence of the powers he no longer has [23] [82] [83], including this one from the semi-canon Sinstagram stories [34]. But still, there is one power that Satan has not stripped him of [82]. Can you guess what that power is? That’s right! His ability to sing like a fallen angel and I just know he can continue to so do in the third season [80] [82]. And yes, I am still peeved that he is forced to struggle without custody of Octavia, despite finally taking some accountability while the arrogant and tyrannical Striker, who almost killed him [84], gets off scott-free [1] [82] [83]. [34]

I still have faith in Charlie Morningstar, especially after the start of what sounds like a call from her mother at the very end of the second season of Hazbin Hotel, yet plenty of sinners hope that she will not repeat the same mistakes she made before that [106] [110]. And yes, I shall look forward to hearing even more songs from her and her co-stars in the third season, along with more songs sung in the third season of Helluva Boss. In the meantime, plenty of sinners are pre-ordering the official Hazbin Hotel Bar Book for a little alcoholic dose of Vivienne Medrano’s animated circles of Hell [95]. [118]

 In conclusion, I rank “Mission: Big Foot” higher than “Mission: Big Boss” for being more adventurous, treasuring Blitzo’s sense of teamwork and providing a more impactful form of individuality [52] [91]. Moreover, I shall look forward to seeing how the next one can express its own uniqueness. Aside from how curious we are about the final three Helluva Shorts, sinners attending this year’s LVL UP Expo in Las Vegas are yet to see what big reveals regarding the Hellaverse will be summoned this April [94], which will be over three weeks after Nintendo nerds witness the highly anticipated outcome of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie [105] [140]. And of course, the Minions will cause chaos in Minions & Monsters [54] [56], and Disney devotees might be bewildered at a new romantic anime adaptation of The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen titled “Goodbye, Lara” this July [7] [62] [170]. As always, I deeply appreciate those who do not judge my writing skills solely because of my love for Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss and are undeniably welcoming to me [46] [125] [161] [162]. Despite the blatant disrespect some people may have shown towards how the two cartoons have helped me throughout some hard times, I shall look forward to how their third seasons can further enrich the seven rings of Hell, especially the Pride Ring, where more redemption is nigh. Stay sinful! Oh! And keep your ears open for more rick rolling [1]!

It will not be long until I aim to become an even better writer [49] [168] [169]. As for my fellow autistic writers, I hope they keep following their passions, especially if they want to help make a difference [141]. The word may continue to seem intentionally or unintentionally oppressive towards autistic people in familiar and new ways [9] [21] [39] [48] [53] [102], but some progress is still being made, especially outside of the internet. Moreover, not only do I wish for autistic people to receive the support they need, but also the opportunities to be just as empowered as many neurotypical folks they know [45]. And even if you regret going to university, writing your first book or something else, such as being a fan of a content creator who turned out to be an awful person [37] [146], I hope you still follow your ambitions. Lastly, Happy National Barbie Day [155]! [91]
